Where Life Meets Practice.

People often ask me where I find inspiration for my workshops, retreats, and embodied practices.

The honest answer is: everywhere.

Not because I am constantly looking for inspiration, but because I have stopped separating "my work" from "my life."

A conversation over coffee, a difficult day, walking through the "polder", a yoga practice that feels effortless, or one that feels impossible, the way my breath changes when I'm

under pressure, the relieve after a good cry, the surprise that arises when I notice my body responding before my mind has caught up.

These moments have become my teachers.

This blog is a place where I will share those discoveries, not as finished truths, but as living explorations.

For me, embodiment happens while washing the dishes, having an uncomfortable conversation, getting lost, laughing with friends, feeling tired, watching the seasons change.

The practices I teach are not separate from these everyday moments. They grow out of them, and they return to them.

It is a continuous dialogue.

What I learn through movement influences how I relate to people.

What life teaches me reshapes the way I teach movement.

One nourishes the other.

I often think of it as breathing: inhaling experiences from life, exhaling them into my work.

Nothing is static.

This blog is an invitation to slow down with me.

To notice.

To become curious about the intelligence of the body.

To discover that wisdom isn't always found in extraordinary experiences, but often in the smallest moments of ordinary life, when we are present enough to receive them.

I hope these reflections inspire you to explore your own embodied journey, in whatever way feels meaningful to you.

A warm welcome.

Barbara
